This is the trial version of Chess PGN Master, a learning and study tool for chess amateurs and professionals alike. In order to improve in chess, apart from playing lots of games, it is essential to
● study chess games from masters and to try to understand why the moves were played
● study endgame positions
● gain a basic knowledge of the openings you play
Chess PGN Master helps you with these tasks by making it easy to
● review chess games
● enter your own games and blunder check them
● analyze games with a strong chess engine (Stockfish 13)
● play positions against a chess engine
and it can do a lot more!
The trial version allows you to view:
- the first 20 games of every PGN file

Features:
● Easy navigation (tap on left or right side of the board to move the pieces)
● Analyze games with the integrated analysis engine (output limited to one move in trial version) - start with menu - Analyisis start/stop
● E-Board support: Use an electronic chess board connected via Bluetooth using the ChessLink protocol (Millennium eOne, Exclusive, Performance), Certabo E-Boards, Chessnut Air, Chessnut EVO, DGT classic, DGT Pegasus or the Square Off Pro to study, record games, play against a chess engine or replay master games.
● Color squares (right menu Display - Show coloring buttons) and draw colored arrows - tap or drag on the board after selecting a color
● Chess960 support (to castle select your King first, then your Rook you want to castle with)

This seemed to be ideal for my needs but for one issue. When you open a game from the database, I can't find any way to close it and start a new board. Maybe this option is available in the Pro version but it needs to be on the trial version to enable it to be assessed properly. I would have given 4 or 5 stars if not for this issue.

Yes, this is a bit hidden: change to edit mode first (top left menu item), then you can for example add a new game to the current database, also using the left menu.

Love your apps I have used scid on the go for years. I was wondering if you could program the app to strip the pgn down to the last few moves of each game to help learn check mating patterns.

Hi, First of all thanks for providing such a great app right in our hands. I just want to suggest something since my cell phone screen is small and that is, I think it would be better if there is an option to hide the top bar ( the one where Analysis, Blunder check and Players names are) in viewing mode so it free up some space for board. Except this everything is perfect. Thank you.
